Consulting

Of late i’ve been integrally involved in the development of a number of innovative cycling projects and businesses. I have extensive experience of developing policy and training and i’ve brought this to the fore in working with Pedal Me to develop the first professional cargo cycle training course to be externally assured - by City and Guilds.

I’ve also worked in consolidating the pre-existing Camden Community Cycling Project into an established and deeply valued part of the local community.

If you’re interested in discussing how best your project may need to develop, be it maintenance, cycling or using trailers and cargo bikes, then drop me a message via the contact page.

I deliver 'Dr Bike' sessions alongside other mechanics for Cycle Confident, London Borough of Islington and Bikeworks. I have also delivered 'Bikeability Plus' maintenance sessions for children participating in school based cycle training, and community outreach maintenance training for London Borough of Islington.

Alongside my City and Guilds qualification which has equipped me with the skills to work on most common modern bicycles, I am experienced in more esoteric mechanic skills such as servicing Sturmey Archer hub gears, Brompton folding bicycles and Moulton's.

If you are interested in employing my skills and experience, either for a call out job, maintenance or restoration, or a 'Dr Bike' session, please contact me.

cycle instructor

I am available as a freelance hire across a wide range of instructor roles, both as a lead and a co-instructor and session manager. I presently run the Camden Community Cycling Project, managing a team of instructors to deliver twice weekly group cycling sessions.

I have also organised and run group sessions including 'all-ability' (with Pedal Power and Bikeworks) and balance bike training, coordinated the successful delivery of one-to-one adult cycle skills training, led group rides, and work in schools across London for Cycle Confident, London Borough of Islington and Bikeworks delivering training to pupils. (Most children will be offered cycle training at school in year 5 or 6, if not, ask your child's school why not).

If you are keen to hire me or just to know more about my skills and experience, get in touch via the contact page.
